Today's locker drop off, at a daycare in Revere, was another connection through our friendship with Raising a Reader of MA. Revere is a shoreline city north of Boston. It's is a city of immigrants; long ago it was settled by Italian immigrants mostly, and now it seems like there are people from every corner of the earth. Jessica, the director of the cer, made her little locker nook so inviting! These kids, children of immigrants or not, now get to choose a book to take home and read with their family. Hopefully over time we'll be able to keep sending books their way, and these kids can all have a collection of their favorite books at home. Because what is a home without favorite books?
